People often ask me what I recommend they get started with when they join Shaklee.  Since our free membership special has been extended until the end of the month, I thought it would be helpful to highlight my top 5 favorite Shaklee products.  My family and I use these products on a daily basis and we love them all!  Of course, there are so many other products that we offer and if you would like to take a peek and place an order you can shop right here!  Remember, the free LIFETIME membership entitles you to 15% off all your orders, a 100% money back guarantee, and exclusive access to our private Facebook community where we share great tips for getting healthy!

1)   Get Clean Kit

The Get Clean products were what I originally got started with.  I have completely replaced all of my household cleaners with products from the Get Clean line.  The Basic H alone replaces your all-purpose cleaner, your window cleaner, and your degreasers.  It is super concentrated and lasts a really long time (I’ve had my bottle for over 2 years)!  Best of all, it’s non-toxic and safe for you, your children and the planet!

2)   Vitalizer

Vitalizer is the most advanced multi-nutrient supplement pack on the market today and it features a patent-pending delivery system designed to enhance absorption of key nutrients. Vitalizer is more than just a single multivitamin—it has 80 bio-optimized nutrients clinically proven to create a foundation for a longer, healthier life, and it’s the only comprehensive multi-nutrient supplement pack you need. With the multiple varieties of Vitalizer, you are sure to find one to meet your needs.

3)   Enfuselle Nutrition Therapy Skin Care

The Enfuselle Nutrition Therapy Skin Care System is a great system, for both women and men. The system is formulated with Shaklee’s exclusive Vital Repair + to block all those skin-damaging free radical reactions and encourages you to have healthy cells so you see smooth, luminous skin.  Clinical studies have confirmed a remarkable 665% increase in skin firmness in just a short 28 days!  You only need a dab, so this lasts for months!

Normal to Oily

Normal to Dry

4)   Cinch (Shakes & Meal Bars)

Cinch Shake Mix provides a yummy and complete breakfast or lunch.  All you need to do is add two scoops or 1 packet to 1 cup of nonfat milk, light soy milk, or almond milk and you’re ready to go!  It’s powered by leucine to help preserve muscle while you lose weight. With 24 grams of protein per serving, it controls hunger and helps you feel satisfied. The Cinch Shake mixes are available in café latte, strawberry, vanilla and chocolate.  My favorite is the strawberry.  I like to add fresh strawberries and banana to it.  Yum!

Also….

The Cinch Meal-in-a-bar is great for a meal on the go. With 20 grams of protein, they help you control hunger and help you feel full.  They are low glycemic too! I love the Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip!

5)   Vivix

My mom calls Vivix her “fountain of youth”.  This is our #1 selling product!  Vivix contains an all-natural formula of resveratrol and a proprietary phytonutrient blend.  This blend harnesses the powerful antioxidant properties of rare muscadine grapes and has been shown to be 10 times more powerful than resveratrol alone.  Just 1 teaspoon a day with a meal has been shown in clinical and lab studies to slow aging at the cellular level!

First off, I want to say Thank You and Welcome to all of the new members that joined!  We had an overwhelming response to the Free membership special…so amazing!

What is more amazing is that the offer has been extended!  So if you missed out last month or are ready to make some changes in your health, don’t wait any longer and place your order HERE!

Today I tackled some of the “tough jobs” around the house.  You know, those jobs that keep getting pushed off (like when I cleaned my fridge!) because you don’t know how to clean it?  These also fall into the “I can’t believe I’m showing these before pictures on the Internet” category! :)

Example 1, our dinner boiled over and left a burned on disgusting mess.

DSCN4877

See what I mean?

DSCN4879

So, I sprayed on my Basic H degreaser and let it sit for about 10 minutes.  After I wiped it off most of the grossness was gone, except in a few spots, but then the Scour Off took care of that! :)

DSCN4884

Ahh, much better! (Sorry for the bad picture, I didn’t want to use the flash so it’s a little blurry!)

Then, there is my son’s light switch that used to have a cover on it a loooooooong time ago.  It left a sticky residue and I just have never bothered to get it off.  Until now!

DSCN4895

For this I put a little straight Basic H on my finger and rubbed.  It worked!

DSCN4899

Our kitchen floors can get so dull looking and every once in awhile need some extra attention.

DSCN4888

Recently, I noticed how bad they were looking, so after mopping them as I normally do (with my water, Basic H and Basic G).  I sprayed degreaser on those really bad spots and let it

sit, then used some Scour Off.  They look so much better!  Not perfect, because the floor is older and just plain needs to be replaced…but shinier and less “grungy”!

Lastly, are those fingerprints by door handles!  Constant, especially now with nicer weather and kids coming in and out more!

DSCN4904

For this I just did a quick wipe with a Germ Off wipe….gone!

Folks often ask when I recommend to get started.  Shaklee has a Starter Kit that is the equivalent of over $3,400 of conventional cleaners!

Find the Kit HERE.  Be sure to add the Scour Off and the Basic G (Germicide).

Have a great day and Happy Cleaning!

Hello and happy Monday!  Hopefully your week has started out well!

Did you do anything for Earth Day yesterday?  Plant a tree?  Recycle?  :)

On Saturday, I had the privilege of having a table at the Earth Day Event held at a Nature Center near my home.  I had never been there before, although my kids have gone there for field trips many times.  It was a windy, rainy day, so I wondered how many people would show up – but I shouldn’t have been worried…we are hardcore Minnesotans after all! :)

I thought I would share some photos from the event.  Below are some pictures of my table.

I did a drawing for a Household Mini-Kit.  That was a big draw!  I don’t think anyone else in the room was doing a giveaway, so I got a lot of entries!

Here I am!

My MIL, Mary Ann, came with me and helped out at my table.  She was a big help!  She loves Shaklee!  They had face painting, so she went and had trees painted on her hand.

They had some other folks there to talk about important issues, such as recycling, energy conservation, etc.  My MIL is also a Master Gardener, and they were there too!

Here are some of the other tables that were there.

They did a raptor program, which was fun for the kids.

It was fun to talk to people that stopped by!  I heard multiple times from people that they grew up on Shaklee.  One woman hadn’t used Shaklee in years and said she was so glad I was there!  She was so excited to get her order in for Basic H and Basic G as well as some other goodies!  She is a preschool teacher and plans to use them in her room at the school.  Such a great idea!

If you haven’t gotten your order in quite yet, there is still time to get your Free Lifetime Membership, but it ends soon so don’t wait too long! :)

Hi everyone!

Just a couple of things before we get into today’s post!  First, follow me on Facebook for the latest and greatest!!

Also, time is running out to become a Shaklee member for FREE!  Check out my post here for more info on that!! :)

Anyone else battle with chores?  My boys are 10 & 9, and we have tried various way of getting them more involved in chores, but we haven’t been very diligent about being consistent.  Why is it so hard to keep a house clean when I feel like we are hardly home?  Shouldn’t it stay cleaner?  But, I digress.

I have noticed more of a lack of the boys wanting to help or complaining when asked to do something, and I’d had enough!  I came across some great ideas on Pinterest, and decided to implement one of them and give it a shot.  We’ve been pretty successful so far!

First off, I found the printables over at Whatever Dee Dee Wants.  I really liked that there was so many different chores that she had listed.

I will tell you that this is not a quick DIY project to complete if you have a hour to spare!  I actually did it over a few days – the cutting off all the chores was giving me hand cramps! :)

So, gather your supplies:  paper cutter, scissors, Mod Podge, large craft sticks, sponge applicator.

DSCN4673

I bought craft sticks in both color and natural, but ended up only using the natural ones.

I started out by cutting the chore pages into strips.

DSCN4674

The kids got a kick out of the “veto” ones. :)

DSCN4675

Then I carefully cut around each chore.  This was the most time consuming part!

I decided to paint the craft sticks white, just to make it look a little cleaner.

DSCN4730

I only did 1 coat, but probably should’ve done 1 more.  I was just anxious to get it done. :)

DSCN4727

Here’s the finished product!  (yes, I know it says “Chore Jar”, and these are cans, but just try to overlook that-hahaha!).  I covered the cans with scrapbook paper and then used letter stickers to do the names.

DSCN4791

Even the parents get their own! (Mike is thrilled!)

DSCN4792

We’ve been using them for about a week and the boys are actually ASKING to pick out chores!  We are doing 1 chore a day and then 3 on Saturdays.  That may evolve a bit, but we’ll try that routine for a while.

Here’s Kaden just yesterday, hard at work.

Hi all!

Today I actually want to share an infographic that I found on Pinterest that I think does a great job with illustrating some of the harmful chemicals that we may be coming into contact with every day without even realizing it.

Take a look!

{source}

Many of these I knew about…but really….BPA in receipt paper?  Who knew?

Here’s a short video that is pretty powerful as well.

Have you made any changes in the products you use?  Are you ready to?

I really hope you all take advantage of this, because you will be so glad you did!

Now, onto the post!

I am featuring my beautiful sister Caitlin today, who was kind enough to do a little light cleaning when she was over recently.  Haha…don’t worry, I don’t make everyone clean when they come over.

The door out to the backyard gets very dirty from fingerprints and dog nose prints.

DSCN4713

See what I mean?

So, I handed her the Basic H Window Cleaner bottle and the microfiber cloth and had her get to work!

DSCN4716

I love the microfiber towel, because it feels like a million little grippers are grabbing onto the window to help get it clean.  I kept dropping it at first, but it WORKS!

DSCN4719

Doesn’t she look happy?

DSCN4721

You can see her reflection in the glass now – love it!

DSCN4720

Thanks Caitlin!  One done, 25 to go! :)

Do you have your Basic H yet?  Did you know 1 bottle of Basic H could make almost 6,000 bottles of Windex?  Better yet, the Get Clean Starter Kit equals over $3,400 worth of products you would find in a retail store.

Lastly, please join us Monday, April 2nd at 9 PM central for a webinar about how to “Get Clean” in your home!

Hi everyone!  Time for some spring cleaning projects to commence!  Do you ever have one of those projects that you know needs to be done, but don’t realize how bad it is until you get started?  Well, the theme of today’s post is, “Holy cow, how did the fridge get sooooo bad?”

I honestly can’t believe I am going to show you the before pictures.  They are gross!!!  So, please take your judging hat off!  Go ahead…I’ll wait…..

Alright, so we were getting ready to do a big grocery run, and I figured it would be a good time to clean out the fridge and throw out expired stuff, etc.  As I started to clear out the junk, this is what I started to see:

DSCN4660

I couldn’t believe how nasty it was!!

I took everything out, filled up the sink with a couple of drops (yes, only a couple of drops needed!) of my favorite dish wash liquid concentrate, and sprayed the shelves and drawers with my Basic H2 All-Purpose Spray and let it sit for a few minutes.

It actually didn’t end up taking much time at all, because the spills, drips and grossness came right off!

Here’s what the door looked like before:

DSCN4658-001

We had 3 bottles of cocktail sauce and about 5 different kinds of mustard.  No idea why.

DSCN4659-001

Really?  Really???

Check out the after!

DSCN4670-001

Already looking better!  Here’s another after picture:

DSCN4669-001

Again, I love the Basic H so much because the gunk literally just wiped up.  Plus, since it is non-toxic, I had no worries about spraying it inside the fridge!

Next up was the main part of the fridge.  Something sticky had spilled all down the right side and pooled under one of the drawers.  Don’t know what it was, but it was gross.

Here’s what the drawers looked like before:

DSCN4661-001

Those poor grapes jumped ship!  Now, the after!

DSCN4666-001

Now that’s more like it!

Here’s the last beauty (NOT!) shot:

DSCN4664-001

Argh!  I promise we aren’t pigs! :)

And now, the TRUE beauty shot:

DSCN4665-001

Yay!  Makes me want to do the happy dance all over again!

This looked like a really daunting task, but I seriously was done in about 20 minutes.  It felt so good!

Check out the rest of the Get Clean line here!

Also, the giveaway at Mama to 4 Blessings is still going on, so be sure to enter for a chance to win a sample of Basic H!

How’s your spring cleaning going?
